Why is it profitable to rely on web offset technology in packaging printing? The challenges facing packaging printers are more demanding than ever:

The leading suppliers of control and measurement systems for web-offset printing presses, manroland Goss and QIPC-EAE, jointly announce their mutual settlement of certain disputed copyright infringement cases.

The media group Le Télégramme, based in Morlaix - Brittany (France), has decided in favour of the future-oriented technology of the COLORMAN e:line with its comprehensive automation equipment "autoprint" and placed an order with manroland Goss for two 64-page tabloid presses.

Clays Limited, the UK’s largest book manufacturer has ordered a manroland Goss LITHOMAN IV Book press for its facility in Bungay, Suffolk. The new press will be a coldset LITHOMAN press with the DynaChange zeromakeready
feature. The press can produce approximately 50m books per annum.

TBO Printing and Publishing S.C (TBO) in Addis Ababa celebrated the successful installation of the two manroland Goss CROMOMAN presses on May 31, 2021. The start-up of the fully installed ROTOMAN will follow shortly. The establishment of the first textbook production facility for East Africa is a very ambitious project for the country, wanting to utilize its own resources to meet the high demand for textbooks for a steadily growing number of young people. The Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Dr. Abiy Ahmed, is also expected to attend the opening ceremony.

In the financial year 2020, the Group generated sales of EUR 220 million and positive earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of EUR 3.2 million (1.4%).

On December 17, 2020, the manroland Goss Group, Augsburg, and Contiweb B.V., Boxmeer, The Netherlands, signed a purchase agreement on the sale of the Thallo web-offset packaging business including all Intellectual Property Rights.

It is already the second LITHOMAN printing system within two years which was moved to Egypt by manroland Goss. The printing press was successfully relocated and put into operation in close cooperation with the technical team of the Nahdet Misr Publishing Group (Nahdet Misr).

Only in Germany around one billion frozen pizzas are sold each year, and the volumes are rising. manroland Goss is now also represented in this growth market with the new installation of a state-of-the-art VARIOMAN c:line.
